Post Office DNA - Biglad465 - 04-12-2019

Picked up a package from a post office the other day and did empty box on it . Worked like a treat. However , now I'm wondering if a DNA is possible.

Here's how it generally worked :

.Present any form of ID to pick up package , it's not scanned or anything , just to verify you're picking up the right parcel.

. The package is then scanned out and handed over , simple as. Within about 1 minute of leaving I received an email from amazon thanking me for picking up my package.

I'm assuming DNA won't work but wanted to get a more experienced opinion.

Didn't they cross-check the ID with the details on the package, just to verify ownership?

Ah yeah sorry , of course. They'd check the name on the ID and find the package with that name on it. But that's it

Do you think a DNA would work then in this scenario?

In terms of the following, do they simply look at the ID without taking any record (photocopy etc)?
Quote:Present any form of ID to pick up package , it's not scanned or anything

Yes all they do is look at the ID to check they are who you say you are. No scanning of the ID is involved.

That's a huge advantage- they cannot cross-check Identification details, nor verify whom the package was handed to.

Given they do not keep ID records, as far as you're concerned, the package was handed to someone else.

Excellent thank you .

When I have more money I'll try the DNA and update you on how it goes.
