What to do when a company requests returning defective product - phobetor00 - 03-14-2019

This is the real deal breaker. Once you have the serial number (let's say of a laptop) and all your story prepared and presented (let's say the laptop doesn't turn on anymore), you will most likely be asked to return your defective item for iniciating warranty procedures.

Alright, so how do you go from here considering you don't have the product with you? How do you justify not posting the laptop and still getting a replacement?

I've read stuff about people buying dry ice and posting the exact weight of the product with this. But it would complicate things too much for most of us, as dry ice can be expensive and complicated to do.

Thank you!

Surely it's less expensive than laptops
