Samsung s10 SE? - GrabThat - 03-08-2019 Hi guys, first post, new to the site. So I've got an s10 plus on the way, and they've sent it via Royal Mail 48. I'm just wondering what the procedure would be if I made a DNA claim since it's a £899 item. Is it worth the risk? I fully intended on paying outright, but once I saw it was dispatched with royal mail 48 I got a hard on. I know RM 48 is SEable for low value items since it only provides tracking without signature. thanks for your time. RE: Samsung s10 SE? - Biglad465 - 03-08-2019 Obviously an investigation will take place , success depends on who you ordered it from. Either way there is a chance they blacklist the IMEI number making the phone unusable. Id highly recommend missing item method. I'm not familiar with the missing item method, is that basically saying the box is empty? if so that seems a bit more suspicious than DNA. Also I am prepared for the blacklist. Apologies I meant wrong item received , it's where you say they sent you an item of similar weight instead of what you actually ordered. Doesn't work for all companies though. Let me know if you need more detail RE: Samsung s10 SE? - GrabThat - 03-08-2019 (03-08-2019, 11:22 PM)Biglad465 Wrote:(03-08-2019, 11:19 PM)GrabThat Wrote:(03-08-2019, 10:30 PM)Biglad465 Wrote: Obviously an investigation will take place , success depends on who you ordered it from. If you don't mind I'd like to know more, sure. Also, just thinking, the phone is being shipped with an SDcard too, maybe missing item could work in this case? Making it look like there was a rookie in the warehouse and only sent the SD RE: Samsung s10 SE? - Tenney - 03-09-2019 (03-08-2019, 11:39 PM)GrabThat Wrote:(03-08-2019, 11:22 PM)Biglad465 Wrote:(03-08-2019, 11:19 PM)GrabThat Wrote: it's quite a big, well known company. Problem is the weight will be documented when shipped most likely. The S10+ weighs 1.92 ounces and a standard SD card will roughly weight .6 ounces. The item will be recorded (assuming these weights are correct) as 2.52 ounces and claiming an item weighing 1.92 ounces is "missing" will set off a flag and your attempt will most likely get shut down. RE: Samsung s10 SE? - Biglad465 - 03-09-2019 Exactly like @Tenney said . For the wrong item method you'll need to buy an item sold by the company that weighs the same as the phone. Then say they shipped you that. RE: Samsung s10 SE? - Johnngnky - 03-09-2019 If you bought it directly from Samsung, and used PayPal to pay, they have a reputation of not replying to disputes, so just create one and PayPal will wait 20 days, and refund you. It's almost the same weight as AirPods (with the charging case), which have had a very high success rate when using this method. RE: Samsung s10 SE? - GrabThat - 03-09-2019 Right, it's arrived. they added the optional signature on delivery and sent it in a padded envelope, so to say the whole box was missing is a bit obvious. Is it believable that samsung possibly had a problem with packaging and there's no phone in the box? I didn't buy directly from samsung |
