Free clothing [SE Lvl. Hard?] - phobetor00 - 03-04-2019

I'm in the middle of an experiment with two items bought online from H&M.
They were shipped correctly and I'm thinking of doing a DNA for a refund while keeping the items, which I must say is still not good enough as they don't fit me (the damned size charts tricked me - or maybe I'm illiterate in online shopping for clothing).
If I get the refund, I'm thinking of going into an actual shop and exhanging them for the right numbers - or at least other similar items that will fit me. Tricky part is the online orders are subject to returns via postal service to their warehouses, and won't be processed in physical stores. But I could do it as all labels are intact and the items are sold in-stores, I would just need a traditional receipt instead of the online order receipt. Any ideas on how I could do this?

As long as the physical store stocks the Items, see If they offer an In-store credit. You can then purchase anything within the cost of the Items.

I've obtained one many times when unable to provide receipts.

Cheers! I'll try that.

When a receipt cannot be provided, a lot of retailers offer In-store credits as an alternative to refunds.

When you get a moment (no rush), please reply with the outcome.

Yeah, spot on with what Mothered says.

H&M - should offer you in-store credit if you don't have a physical receipt, I know many stores in the UK offer this service.

They should also offer to exchange them like-for-like for a different size, I would think.
