Amazon SE Urgent Question - KrakenKraken - 02-16-2019 I have got my other item and checked to weight and size - virtually the same weight and fits the box well - and went onto the Amazon website. How do I go about refunding it now? If I click through the return section, it allows me to just print the label and return it - shouldn't I have to go through live chat or phone them or something? Is it really that easy? RE: Amazon SE Urgent Question - karoloydi - 02-16-2019 No, you dont have to chat RE: Amazon SE Urgent Question - titchyyyy - 02-16-2019 You don't have to go through live chat or talk to anybody. You can return itusing the return section. Infact, sometimes it's better to do it through the return section as you are not bring attention to your account. RE: Amazon SE Urgent Question - KrakenKraken - 02-17-2019 Could they launch an investigation once they receive the wrong item? The package is 40-50g heavier (out of ~2.5kg), although that includes the return papers and the tape used to seal it again as well as being a couple centimetres less wide. Should I be worried about this difference? Should I be worried about this difference? I wouldn't worry about it tbh. If your account is in good-standing, they won't even bother to check the contents of your box, never mind weigh it. I've just returned an item that weighs 250g when the original item they sent was 350g - my account is not in the best of standing (30+ refunds) and they've refunded me, so. If you become a 'professional' SEr like our Mothered, then little details such as the weight being within 1-2g of the original will mean the difference between getting a refund or not. It's always good practice to get used to returning items that weighh very very close to the original item though, as you're practically guaranteed a refund every time with companies like Amazon. If they've requested the wrong Item be returned, It's done so for a reason- replacement or refund. I've yet to personally experience an Investigation opened for the wrong Item received method. Do you think if I bought an EVGA RTX 2060 and sent back an EVGA 1050ti or an EVGA 1060 they would fall for it? I can't really think of anything of similar weight besides the previous graphics c(spam)ards. Power supplies have similar weight and size and are very cheap. What do you think of swapping these 2 items? 1. Item I want: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Prime-X470-Pro-Ryzen-Motherboard/dp/B07C57Q1XH/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1550441575&sr=1-2&keywords=x470+motherboard 2. I will buy the motherboard from another website, any suggestions? edit: on newegg it says the powersupply weighs 2.9 pounds. It's not possible to conclusively say whether they'll check the Item on return. Depending on their workload and other factors, sometimes they don't bother. Just send back a stock Item that weighs roughly the same. |
