Target SE - maryhada - 02-07-2019

I'm considering buying a phone from Target among other items and SEing using the partial refund method. Does anyone know if they will block the phone if it's deemed to be undelivered? Also would it be trackable from the IMEI?

If they don't block the IMEI number, then there's no cause for suspicion to track the device.

However, they may well place It In a pool of blacklisted numbers, hence when you try and activate the phone with a given carrier, It will not authenticate.

Yeah, I'm probably better off sticking to something like a DSLR camera, which can't be blocked as such. It'd be to resell so the item itself is almost irrelevant. Would a laptop be ok do you reckon? I'm not sure how serial numbers etc. would work with them.

Yes, I believe you're better off opting for a device that cannot be blacklisted by It's unique number.

Generally speaking, a laptop Is fine.
