Easy Sony SE ($350) - FoxyDrew - 02-02-2019 I stumbled upon an Amazon receipt generator last night at about 4am, which led me to this forum, so when I woke up this morning (with no prior SE experience) I figured I'd give it a shot on some new headphones because my old Bose were starting to sh*t the bed. My method was very easy. I simply found a serial number on ebay, and started a chat with there online chat service. I told the rep that I plugged the headphones in when I first got them around dinner time, and when I woke up the next day it had leaked battery acid. The representative asked for the serial number, but no other proof of purchase. He simply asked to return the item and a new one would be shipped. So, it was as simple as saying in the chat "I only know this because I used to work for Microsoft customer service, but it's actually illegal to ship faulty batteries, as its a safety hazard" The rep was fully understanding and escalated it to his supervisor, who then actually called me (which I was a little nervous for because I had used there online chat to make it easier) and the supervisor thanked me for bringing the issue of shipping batteries to there attention, and arranged a new item to be sent to me. This was just about an hour ago and I already have an email saying I'll receive a tracking number soon. Just wanted to add before anyone calls me out, I thought of this method because when I was browsing the forums last night (I was on like page 50 so i cant find the original post) someone mentioned it was easy to get free batteries from amazon because amazon wont make you ship back faulty batteries if you say they are faulty. For safety reasons. I figured that this method would work on anything with a battery inside it, and so it was my first attempt, and a successful one at that. Ive been on these forums all morning and noticed there were only a few popular methods that people were suggesting and I didn't see anyone suggest this but it worked. Happy SE'ing
RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - Smokee - 02-02-2019 dam. pretty good method if you ask me buddy RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - mollynation - 02-02-2019 Well, happy it went through. And well played with your first experience with the phone call. Nice job 😁 RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - Harryler100 - 02-02-2019 What customer service were you on the phone too? Amazon? RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - Harryler100 - 02-02-2019 What was the amazon receipt generator RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - DTMHibbert - 02-02-2019 (02-02-2019, 09:26 PM)Harryler100 Wrote: What was the amazon receipt generator heres one http://nextygen.ml/ Easy Sony SE ($350) - Harryler100 - 02-02-2019 (02-02-2019, 10:00 PM)DTMHibbert Wrote:(02-02-2019, 09:26 PM)Harryler100 Wrote: What was the amazon receipt generator How could you use it to get free stuff? RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - Zelda7711 - 02-03-2019 is it working for playstation 4 ? RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - mothered - 02-03-2019 It doesn't get much easier than this. They (Sony), truly need to review their claims management strategies and policies. And of course, effectively train their staff against SEing attacks. RE: Easy Sony SE ($350) - Pingerz - 02-04-2019 Been trying to replicate this all day. Gave up with the awful response speed on their chat and called directly. They are requiring me to post it with UPS regardless of the battery leaking. Guess I'll just have to box them or dry ice. @mothered Do you know whether there's another angle I can take. |
