Help with Amazon swap - flappyduck - 01-08-2019

Hi all,

Brought a load of pc parts from Amazon over Christmas and sent back some old broken parts which looked exactly the same. They have sent me a message saying I can't get a refund as the parts were not the same as they sent. I've argued several times that I never used the parts and just returned the straight away as the boxes were damaged. Any ideas what I can try next?

Thanks

Did you start try the wrong item received method or did you just try to initiate a normal return?

Told them the wrong items we're received. Actually got a refund on one item, but not the rest

When using the wrong Item received method, always use an Item that they stock In their Inventory.

As such, they cannot decline your claim based on the Item per se.

I find for these kind of swaps, Amazon Warehouse Deals are good option. Amazon treats it as if it was shipped and sold by Amazon, but most of the items have been returned before so the chain of custody is broken so to speak.

This is absolutely true. It's exceedingly common for the wrong item to genuinely arrive so it just helps your case, you're also investing less because it's an Amazon warehouse deal and not a new item
