Amazon DNA - 777baby - 12-17-2018 Hi everyone. I just tried my first DNA with Amazon.it on a 700+ worth order. I collected the package from the carriere and sign for it but outisde of the building, The shipping address was an office outside of the city train station so a lot of traffic and easy to deliver something to the wrong person. My account is 2 years old, clean, no real/fake refund, 20ish orders and Prime. I did contact Amazon through Lice Chat and they ask me to wait 72 hours in order to check with the carrier. After 3 followup from me, they replied by email saying that they can't refund/replace my loss and if I think it's been stolen I have to file a police report. Now, I read @mothered writing that police report is part of the policy. But my question is: after I send the police report, will they just refund me or will keep "investigate"? I have this question because they stated that a refund is not possibile, but IF I send them a police report then they can make a more accurate investigation. Sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance.

The police report Is required to pursue the Investigation. Without It, your claim will not move forward. You can either comply with their request, or drop It altogether. RE: Amazon DNA - Smokee - 12-17-2018 id leave that one and forget it personaly RE: Amazon DNA - FreightTrain - 12-17-2018 I don't see why a police report should deter you. If you had a package stolen, you wouldn't have an issue with having the police make a report. They obviously have more important work to do, so I wouldn't think it would be more then 5-10 questions and they'll be on their way. I know my local police have an online option to request a police report. I'm not sure if it's entirely online, or if they just take some of your info and then send an officer out to your residence. I'd start there, or give them a call from a non-emergency line and inquire about getting a report for a missing package. See what they have to say and what their process is. If you're afraid to talk with them call from an anonymous VoIP line, and just hang up if they ask you something you don't feel comfortable answering. Plus, I doubt Amazon does more than just place the document in a folder and leave it at that. You may be able to edit that same report for future uses

Yea same, don't worry about it, police reports are standard procedure. This ^ That's why I keep reiterating the fact that a police report Is simply part of company protocol to move forward with the Investigation. The majority of claims, have a successful outcome In favor of the SE. It's generalized. If they believe there's Inconsistencies with what you're claiming against what was dispatched, then an Investigation will be opened- Irrespective of the cost of the Item. RE: Amazon DNA - 777baby - 12-19-2018 Update Yesterday I filed the PR and I provided it to them via e-mail. After that I called them and asked to move on quick as I was really pissed off for time I was losing. During the call they asked me if I wanted refund or replacement for the stuff s&s by them. I said full refund. Today at 6.45am they sent refund confirm for 700€+ with apologies. Thank you so much @mothered @FreightTrain RE: Amazon DNA - mothered - 12-19-2018 (12-19-2018, 08:36 AM)777baby Wrote: Update That's good to read, and you're welcome. And of course, @FreightTrain's assistance. Hence as mentioned In my post above pertaining to police reports: Quote:The majority of claims, have a successful outcome In favor of the SE. This clearly demonstrates and solidifies the fact, that a police report (In circumstances of this nature) Is nothing more than moving forward with the claim. |
