SE'ing and actual refund - KingC33 - 12-07-2018
Hi,
So I've recently jumped into SE'ing and have been returning different items in place of refunds etc.
But i bought a phone off amazon and it genuinely got stolen from the box before I received it as the box was there but no phone, I contacted amazon and they conducted an investigation (with a following email saying my account has a high amount of returns/refunds but only having 1-2, with 1 being genuine).
I have proof the packaging they used was beyond inadequate, as it was one of those folding in boxes meant for multiple orders, but allows for anyone to look inside and open without damage. As well as no signature beign required for a £600+ phone.
I have alternate accounts and was wondering if during this investigation could they possibly uncover what I've done and choose not to replace my stolen phone?
This was done on my main account with probably 2-3k+ total transacitons and an age of 5-6 years.
Am I fucked?

It's not possible to conclusively say whether they'll also look Into your account's history during the Investigation. Their main focus Is the Investigation Itself, so wait for the outcome.
They will liaise with the carrier and If the phone was In fact stolen during transit, the discrepancy In weight will be Identified/established, hence work In your favor.

So....what was the outcome?
They asked for a police report and a picture of it.
Police refused to let me take a picture so just got really angry over livechat and they sent a replacement.
I did notice however, their tune changed instantly for a replacement phone when I specified I wanted a replacement and not a refund.
Bright side is I can use the IMEI number of my stolen one to SE it off the manufacturers website

Also you stated you’ve been doing the wrong item received method, hows that been going? Have you run into any issues yet?

With your alternate accounts, is there anything linking them together like same shipping address or billing address or CC? Or is it all completely different details. Just wondering as I want to start doing multiple SEs

A police report was filed, so I had a case number and provided them with that.
So far no issues, but I've only done 2 so far as I'm quite busy IRL to dedicate serious time to it. But it's probably one of the most succesful and easy ways to SE tbh. I would suggest buying items from eBay (new obviously) that amazon stock, cause if you buy from amazon, then they might link when you return it to the account you bought it with.
I've been doing different addresses, IP's and billing addresses. CC is the same. Will probably get a new c@rd sent to me with a few more SE's, as getting blacklisted isn't ideal.
The plan is to move to VCC's or just use GC balance to be completely anonymous, but these are a pain for refunds.
