I want the forum unable to be accessed if the person is not logged in so nobody leeches from the site.

Guests can only view three threads without signing up, although it is easily bypassable.
I will be sure to forward this suggestion to Oni once he is back.

I don't know. I tend to automatically leave forums like that, where otherwise I may have signed up if I enjoyed it. It loses members.

With people being able to access a some content, it gives them a reason to sign up. Whereas if you're confronted with a forum that you can't view any content, how are you going to know if you want to sign up or not? It's fine as it is IMO.
