How do I get an active use base? - H3RR3S - 11-30-2018
So I'm thinking about starting a website but I need to make sure a lot of people will find the website and be active.
I know this has a lot to do with your content and stuff but i heard SEO was very important too?
How does this actually work?

There's a lot Involved with SEO, and beyond the scope of this post to document the lot.
In terms of attracting search engine traffic, add your site to Google Webmaster Tools. Meta Tags also have a significant Impact on SEO.

SEO is slow, you could wait months and months for google to rank your site only to get 1,000 visits per month from it
facebook ads can be pretty cheap once you properly optimize it, then there is good old word of mouth

I believe Instagram has also joined the scene so that may be an option as well if your target audience is younger ? I find older individuals are on FB these days.

True.
Speaking from experience, It's taken close to one year for my site to be Indexed on the first page of Google.
