Best way to do this Amazon CPU refund - tem233 - 11-24-2018
I just bought a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 for £140 on Amazon and my account has like 20 small purchases with 2-3 being medium purchases. What would be my best way to refund? Here is what I'm thinking:
1. Replace CPU and cooler with my very old Intel CPU and intel cooler and return? Or just keep the AMD cooler and replace the AMD CPU because the intel cooler looks quite different from the AMD one?
2. DNA
3. No CPU in box but cooler is there
4. No CPU
By the way, can't do the nail polish method because my orders already shipped
So which one should I do? Or maybe tell me a different method?

DNA works most of the time. Wrong item method could also work.

I would wait and decide after the receivement of the package. If you didnt sign for it go for DNA. If both items came in the same box you still going for DNA cause a cpu is really light. If they came in 2 differents packages you can just ask for a return and send an old one or keep the DNA, but it would be risky.

The CPU weighs a little over 450 grams, so either boxing or the Item didn't receive method will work.
Of course, the DNA Is predominantly a generic carrier-based method, so that will also suffice.

Alright guys, couldn't do DNA because signed so I have to go with:
- Say wrong item recieved and put some random ass item (like a usb cable) in place of the CPU and cooler?
- Say nothing was in the box?
- Say CPU wasn't in box but cooler was
Which one would be best?

Either do it from a different site like Newegg, or wait a while for amazon. Do a few legit orders now before you refund the GPU. Or if you really need it now, make a new amazon account with fake information and a drop address so that it can’t be traced back to you.
