Possible To SE Blue? - PointBlank159 - 11-20-2018

Is it possible to SE www.bluedesigns.com ?
I was just asking because I'm looking for a decent mic such as the Yeti or Snowball, and was seeing if this is even possible?

I actually just recently tried them. It’s so easy to get serials because they put them right on the bottom of the box. They don’t even put them on the mic itself, the box is the only location. So you can walk right into a store that carries them and grab codes really quick. But I don’t really think they are SEable unless you want to box them. I tried three different times and they all told me I’ll have to send it in. And they refuse to do an advanced replacement. They also take incredibly long to answer by email. Took a little over 2 weeks for them to get back to me. I actually haven’t tried calling them. You could try calling them and see what happens, maybe it’s easier that way, I don’t know.

I was reading up on a thread and the op said that they possibly could try to validate the order number from the fake receipt, having a risk of getting caught. Maybe try to pull the "got this as a gift" ????

Yeah I did actually try that one of the times. Tried to say it was a gift. But no matter what, the issue is that they make you send it in before they give you a replacement. You could possibly try to give them an excuse as to why you can’t send it in. Maybe say the mic is leaking battery acid and the post office won’t allow you to ship it.

I would like to warn anyone doing this that Blue got absolutely raped in the past. They were one of the easiest and most popular companies to SE. Now they're a lot harder because of this but if you can box, and especially if you can "prove" your ownership with a verifiable receipt then they are very much do-able. They don't do advanced replacement anymore because they lost almost $10,000 worth of stock in one month because of people doing them.

Its possible, but a pain in the ass

Exactly this, perfectly said.

They've Increased their awareness and claims management strategies, hence a lot harder nowadays to SE. They certainly can be SEd (anyone can), but careful planning Is Imperative.
