I registered around 7 days after the board's creation and for the life of me, I cannot recall how I arrived.

A lot has changed since then- all for the better of course.

RE: Why are you here? - Cr3aTor - 11-12-2018

I accidentally stumbled upon this forum, took a look at it and found that are a lot of great resources around and people that meet my interests as well, so I gave it a shot.
Since then, I didn't want to be the only-take guy, so I started to share my knowledge around a bit.

I'd say more so a multitude of changes, rather than a change per se.

I believe we've become a close-knit community with fewer quarrels and more commonalities.

Do you think there is something missing that bring in more members?

RE: Why are you here? - Nyx - 11-12-2018

Originally I was a member on DiverseBox which was basically just one big lounge forum as far as I can remember with no real central topic. A prominent member of sinister.li at the time defaced DB due to some drama and linked to SL so I decided to sign up. Used the forum here and there until DB actually merged with sinister.li and this became my home.

For the longest time I was just here for discussion about technology, though now I'm mostly here for the people I've met along the way in my years on the forum.

Currently I think our rate of growth is actually pretty healthy. Like @mothered said, SL is a tight knit community at its core and having too much growth could put the camaraderie on the forum in jeopardy. That's just my thoughts though.

A common misconception when looking at a given board's activity, Is the number of registered members.

You may have 50k members, the majority of whom are Inactive. On the other hand, there may be 5k members who each hit 30 HQ posts per day. The latter certainly outweighs the former.

found the forum by searching SE Methods, and then I registered and came here mostly to learn, im really into the art of person manipulation. And getting free shit from it only makes it better
