Do Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard/Visa Work as VCC? - NGwill - 11-02-2018 If a company (ex. Google) asks for a credit-card to put a temporary hold during an Advanced Exchange, can a prepaid MasterCard or Visa with <$100 work? Do these qualify as VCC's that can be widely used for holds? RE: Do Vanilla Prepaid Mastercard/Visa Work as VCC? - mothered - 11-02-2018 A prepaid CC and VCC are both different. Both work the same as any normal credit card, so If a lock Is placed on a given card/account, It will not affect another card. Thanks for the reply ![]() Just wanted to confirm that a prepaid CC would be accepted by companies like Dell/Google/etc. when they need to put a hold/lock for an advanced replacement. I have seen other posts about people needing high quality VCC's and was curious why people do not use a prepaid CC if it works as well. I can't speak for every entity, so the following Is a general statement. If, for example, the merchant accepts Visa as the payment system, then a prepaid CC with the very same branded card should also be accepted. |
