Appdata corrupted? - Villain - 07-28-2013

Hey everyone,

Since I downloaded opera, well I don't think I have downloaded anything since apart from coingeneration.

I keep getting a error which appdata corrupt? So I googled it it said do a dvd backup and run from that, but my pc don't have a dvd drive I replaced for a removal hardrive.

Also, google said run this in cmd, which didn't help either.

Also I ran chkdsk & it didn't fix it.

Please help me, anyone else with opera or coin generation get this?

Whenever I open something like a new tab or anything, and I can't install new programs.

I can't install anything.
I can't use gyazo it says png can't be saved.
And I keep getting the annoying error at the bottom right.

Also, I am restoring the folder to a previous version now, it says it will take 2 hoursAngry

It could be a telltale sign that your HDD has run its course from my eyes, but it could be that Opera could've screwed something up.

I'd be vigilant on what happens to your hard drive. If you start getting crashes out of nowhere (BSOD crashes I mean), then time's up pretty much.

It sounds like you have a corrupt Profile. There are a few ways to fix this but the main way is simply to create a new account on the local machine and then from that account (after it has admin rights) copy over the old music/movies/documents. There are many ways to create additional users, for example you can

WinKey+R > control userpasswords2
Start > Search > netplwiz

if your installation is completely toast, and you are running windows 7 or lower you can boot from Hiren's and the different password reset tools to unlock the "Administrator" account, then from there you can blank out the password and log into it.
