There are no hard and fast rules with boxing, nor SEing In general.
A lot of variables are Involved and each Is based on It's merit.

SEing is a variable, not a constant. Reason why we are not patched by companies forever. We can change. We can adapt. And Boxing is a part of SE. It is on a situation by situation basis. Put yourself in the minds of the company. And in the minds of everyone involved. (That old postman? Yeah be nice to him, That old lady at the counter of the post office? Yeah treat her out to coffee sometime, the Support rep on the phone/ live chat? Be cool with them and make their lives easier.)
