Agree with Trend.

It's quite accurate with It's detections, and not too heavy on system resources.

Switched from Avast to Windows Defender, never got any problems.

I use mbam and keyscrambler premium ik neither of these are actually AVS but mbam is pretty good in my experiences.

You're correct In saying they're not AVs, but they can run alongside any Antivirus.

I have KeyScrambler Premium and It serves It's purpose very well Indeed. A minute or so to Install, reboot, and It's up and running. MBAM Is also good with It's overall detection.

On my Windows slice, I use Malwarebytes Pro with cracked keys, Malwarebytes Anti Exploit (I found a cracked key somewhere online roughly 4 years ago), and ESET Smart Security (I got a Staples gift caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrdddddddd for Christmas, and decided to spend it on another antivirus program. I was never using this before Christmas of 2017).

I assume that your "little project" is finally finished, as it has been well over two years now? xD

As a matter of Interest, what AV (If any) do you use?

I used to use Norton, but I have recently been using the free version of Malwarebytes. How about yourself?

Do note (as you're most likely aware), MBAM Is not an AV.

Until a few years ago, I was much the same with Norton. I remember back In the days of using the bloated Norton SystemWorks which, by memory, I believe was around 2003. Nowadays, on my malware lab, VMs and test physical machines, I don't use any for obvious reasons. For day-to-day navigation, Avast serves me well.

Yes, Malwarebytes is not an antivirus, but I think that it is better than having no protection at all. I am still considering purchasing another antivirus. If Avast is as good as you say it is, I might go down that route, as well. Smile
