You're either very particular/cautious with your computing behavior, or the AV Is not serving It's purpose.
On the grounds It's actively monitoring your system, I'd say It's safe to assume the former applies.

I'm also not a fan of Windows Defender but having said that, It has Improved over the years, namely It's Real-time protection.
Bear In mind, MBAM Is not an AV.

On the computers I do use AV on i use Kaspersky Total Security.
It serves it's purpose very well in my opinion.

for me K7 Total security, it's not the best i know but it won't slow down my system.

Malwarebytes premium on my host PC and i mainly run everything in a VM.
