VPN is more secure if the provider is trusted. TOR has been compromised before, so I don't trust it anymore

I wouldn't trust using TOR especially at the moment because there was an attack which may have unmasked users over a five month period, on top of that the Russian Government is offering a substantial amount to anyone that cracks TOR wide open.

The best thing to do would be to either use a VPN or better yet buy some offshore hosting and make your own VPN, it's not as hard as you might think, here is a quick tutorial I found on how to make your own VPN.

It relies on Hamachi however. How do you know if it can be trusted?

The best way to secure is: VPN with no IP logs in Russia + TOR
And never use skype, JABBER FTW!

I think VPN is more better. TOR is a browser which is familiar to Firefox. However, it is too slow to open a web address.

Yea, in the beginning Tor was slow, now it's not. If you say so it's probably because you haven't been using it for quite long. Anyway I believe that Tor issues are well known now.
