update: this a part of an email from the company (not DPD) “ Their previous investigation concluded that your parcel was in-fact delivered and received by the customer - the record shows that the driver spoke to a male, of unknown ethnicity, from behind the door pictured who expressed that they didn't want to open the door to the driver as they were worried about potential exposure to COVID-19. They also state that they have matched this information with a previous delivery to the same address. Now, because they state that this information is accurate, and you are claiming that this is wrong, DPD believe that the customer (yourself in this instance) is committing fraud (their words not mine) and they have received in fact received the parcel.“

the driver is lying since i didn’t even make any contact with them whatsoever. at most, my dog was just barking.

also, around 10 minutes ago DPD called me and asked me what happened. call lasted 2-3 minutes and i just said i was in the whole day, not notified about delivery on my doorstep.

How Is It possible that they've concluded the package was received by the customer, when (as they've stated) the door was not opened at the time of delivery?

Ask them to clarify this. I'd love to read their response, which I'm sure will be complete nonsense.

How did the conversation end?

good news!!

i emailed yesterday as they hadn’t contacted me in quite a while and this was the response: “As promised, I have been on the case with DPD for you all week. The latest update yesterday was that the depot manager had deemed the parcel as lost and we're just waiting on them to sign this off, therefore making the driver personally liable - this will then be able to go over to claims and should be fully compensated.”

Reading this has made my day.

This Is the reason why 66 posts and 5 weeks of exchanging details between us both and pushing the SE beyond limits, has led to a successful outcome. Perseverance and persistence at Its best.

Well done.

Hell yeah! Way to fight it Smile Maybe a bit too soon to celebrate, but at this point I'm sure it'll all go well. Great job.
