Many years ago Kaspersky was quite resource-hungry, but has since Improved to some degree.
I do agree that It's a good all-round protection, namely Kaspersky Total Security.

I don't use any antivirus but if you are looking for my opinion on the best antivirus, then I vouch for ESET.

RKill Is more so an Anti-Spyware, and ScanRat Is classed as a malware removal tool- both of which serve their purpose well and can run alongside any AV.
McAfee also performs well.

I use avast cleanup, which is very much effective and in good prices.

I don't use any, I just stay away from sketchy stuff and in the case of a serious threat an anti virus probably isn't going to help me

At times, It can be difficult to Identify what Is In fact safe.
It's good practice to have a dedicated system when navigating the unknown, either a virtual environment or physical machine.

Kaspersky Anti-virus 2018 although I never got an alert ever since.
