Yep you're correct, It's Remote Desktop Protocol.

@comduboss
TOR is not 100% anonymous. Sure, it's reliable, but not too reliable for if you're hacking everything you come across.
Why? Google it... There's plenty of articles/statistics which can easily be found.

How ironic.
Using a universal username is probably one of the last things you want to do if you plan on staying anonymous... One quick Google search and I just found a bazillion of your accounts including personal information... You might want to consider changing that.

Yeah, you're right

I wrote a lil script that I run if just wanting nomanal secrutity. Thought I would share it, love it hear ideas on if its as effective as I think it is,
Code:
#! /usr/bin/perl START: print "are you sure you want to go into stealth mode Press 1 for yes \n"; $input = <STDIN>; chomp $input; if ($input eq 1){ } else{ print "You did not press 1 for yes please try again or press control c to exit\n"; goto START; } print "Going into Stealth\n"; #so keystrokes are no longer recorded system ("HISTSIZE=0\n"); #turns of syslog system ("/etc/init.d/rsyslog stop\n"); sleep(.2); #taking down the network system ("service network-manager stop\n"); #taking down wlan0 (wlan0 is my connections use yours) system ("ifconfig wlan0 down\n"); sleep(1) ; #-e option creates a random mac but keeps the factory identifers. system ("macchanger -e wlan0\n"); sleep(.2); #while its down might as well kick up my tx power. system ("iw reg set BO\n"); system ("iwconfig wlan0 txpower 30 \n"); system ("ifconfig wlan0 up\n"); sleep(.2); system ("service network-manager start\n"); sleep(1) ; #setting up proxy service system ("service tor start\n"); sleep(10) ; #to stop dns leaks I created another resolv file, then I check to make sure it takes. system ("cp /etc/resolv2.conf /etc/resolv.conf\n"); system ("gedit /etc/resolv.conf\n"); sleep(1) ; # enter your new non logging dns from below system ("iceweasel http://www.opennicproject.org\n"); sleep(10) ;

First when submitting code always use code tags it keeps the formatting and makes it easer to read. Secondly I think a bash script would have been the better choice here to be honest, you are using a lot of system commands so why not cut out the middleman and just use bash?

RE: Wanna Be Anonymous? - masters121 - 05-01-2014

OK an will do, I actually wrote it for my own use but that still was sloppy of me.

Yes you are correct bash would of been better, I was actually just wanting to get a bit of perl practice in. Also I use proxy chains in conjuction with the TOR service this way all my internet traffic goes through TOR. Basiclly I dont have to type proxychains nmap ect. But what I am really wanting to know is if the process I am doing will be suffient for medium stealth needs. Meaning simple scans with non invasive (meaning illegal placeing of programs) on websites.

In theory yes it would work quite well and covers the bases I would personally use the fully random -r option with macchanger but then I'm just clutching at straws straws really.

Do you also use this in conjunction with a trusted VPN? the idea is to have as many links in the chain as possible so that extra layer with a VPN is nice to have especially as it adds and extra layer of encryption as well.
