If It makes It easier, John Lewis stock Eastpack products, and they use Hermes, Royal Mail and CollectPlus as their carriers.

i am very new to SEing and i dont know exactly what the missing item method is i am planning to SE airpod pros from amazon what exactly should i do i am very confused on wether i say that the airpods werent inside the apple air pods box or if they werent inside the amazon package i would appriciate if someone could help me out

May I ask what could happen if you claim there was nothing in your box and you claimed that for item that weights too much? Do they ask you to return it? Or what usually happens?

I have 2 questions:
1. What happens if you claim Missing Item on let's say a 250g phone? How can they prove to you that it was actually in there? Or do they just ask you to return it?
2. I never asked too much about the partial refund. Let's say you have a computer coming to your place (all the parts) and you also ordered something cheap that weights let's say 1kg and your computer should weight like 10kg if everything came.
What if you claim you only received the 1kg item in the package? That everything was missing but the wanted parts? They can't really prove to you that something wrong happened - you'd say your package came delivered - that makes it at least somewhat trustworthy, then you say you also received some item, but not the expensive ones. What is the usual scenario?
