Why did they host on the clear web anyways?

Dark web doesn't necessarily mean security.  You can be completely secure and host on clearnet, and that is what they (almost) did, until everyone got arrested.  They reappeared on Tor 2 weeks after they got shut down, which makes me suspicious of this new clearnet one, as there is already a Tor one.

That's false. They reappeared on Clearnet on same domain (darkode.cc) after they got shut down and on that site there was info about the raid and a "generate onion" button to their onion-site (via tor) which never came up. There is not already a Tor one.

I think the admins should give some kind of re-assurance that they aren't feds, but the question is .. how would you do that anyway.

Well they can't really prove it but first, why would the feds open a darkode this late? And a honeypot would only be if there is someone to bust but "Operation Shrouded Horizon" is over now and I just don't see a reason why it would be a honeypot.

Pretty sure this clearweb version is fake.

How does that prove otherwise?

First off, it's their old domain, same theme, same logo. I just got in and I can tell it's not fake, or some kiddies running it. Old darkode members started it.

Oh, that's interesting, I never tried to get on the the onion site so I didn't know. Thanks for correcting.

I agree ^
If it was fake I would think that they would try harder to rope people in, or they would at least keep the marketplace up as a honeypot.

They don't have many threads since the new start but damn, the ones they have are high quality. This is good shit. PM and I'll vouch for you!
