So since I've been sick, I've been popping them as if they were candy. (I also ate a lot of candy. Nerds, Gobstoppers, JellyBeans, etc...) However, apparently you can technically "overdose" on Vitamin C. This is spot on. It also aligns with advice I've been given by a health and wellness coach and doctors. Although I technically take a multi vitamin supplement, it's not one you'd get from a grocery store off the shelf. Its a specific set for what I need. Even then, they're separated into different servings. It's also what I was told to take by a doctor. Vitamins aren't necessarily a one size fits all situation. Some people need more than others, and ofc your diet comes into this. RE: Vitamin C... - edlaurenss - 10-28-2020 I support you, too much vitamin c could be dangerous RE: Vitamin C... - RobiN0963 - 10-29-2020 You can overdose from any group of vitamins. Especially, you need to be careful with vitamins that are not coming from natural food RE: Vitamin C... - Mr.Hollow - 11-04-2020 Yo dude what? Overdose on vitamins? Hello? What reality is this RE: Vitamin C... - Jiggly - 11-04-2020 (11-04-2020, 12:31 PM)Mr.Hollow Wrote: Yo dude what? Overdose on vitamins? Hello? What reality is this I know it doesn't sound like something that's possible, but yes, you can overdose on vitamins. Same as anything - Too much can cause problems. We're not talking about ODing on hard drugs, but there are real issues with taking too much. You can risk getting anything from migraines and diarrhea, to heart problems and hypercalcemia. A good article explaining potential side effects of overdosing vitamins As with anything relating to health, just talk to your damn GP first. xD RE: Vitamin C... - Jiggly - 11-05-2020 (11-05-2020, 09:55 AM)MattWat Wrote: As far as I know, you can consume only one gummy per day for 30 days. Then you need a break from it, for at least two weeks I'm not sure if it's that simple. Depends on the dose and your diet. Realistically, you don't need the gummies at all. Just eat some fruit. It's much more effective when absorbed from real food, and often far less likely to cause negative effects... or so the scientists say xD RE: Vitamin C... - phyrrus9 - 11-06-2020 (11-06-2020, 09:18 PM)Vanccob Wrote: I heard that Vitamin C is bad when you have Covid because it can inflamate your lungs. Honestly, I'd be so much happier if I didn't read the news... Especially so if I don't watch it. Somehow, TV news is worse? |
