Linux is a lot to learn, as well, most people won't use it as their primary OS for that reason, & its understandable.

Well I use OpenSUSE as my secondary, Windows 8.1 as my primary (for recording software mainly), but when I first started using Ubuntu years ago, it took me a few months to feel comfortable enough to move on to say OpenSUSE.

Ubuntu is like minimum wage; Its great to get your foot in the door, but if you stick with it too long, you're ruining any room for advancement.

RE: Windows 8? - h3r0 - 08-13-2014

I say install ubuntu completely and have a VM of windows 7. This allows you to keep back ups and stay a little more secure.

RE: Windows 8? - Perplexus - 08-13-2014

Windows 7 for sure, my laptop has windows 8 and the only thing that's holding me back from wiping it is that I have all my data on here and I can't be bothered to back anything up, lol.
