One is responsible to give a meaning to ones life not the universe nor religions.

I might as well believe in Goku to give myself a false meaning of life.
He's cooler than other Gods and died twice for the Earth.

I'm not a religious person and i think religions are a way of controlling people.
So far, i don't know anything positive what religions have caused. In the other hand, millions of people have died because of them.
To be honest, i think saying there's "bigger powers", is a big load of crap.

Bigger powers can exist even though in my opinion it's highly unlikely.
Believing something without evidence, fixing your life around it and in many cases worshipping it is a big load of crap.

The thing that borders me the most is the idea of divine forgiveness. Convince someone that any transgression is forgiveable whether or not the party they hurt forgives them and they can be capable of truly horrific deeds as you've managed to convince them that their conscience is secondary to their faith.
