RE: WFH Home or Office? - yahkiman - 12-08-2023 I definitely prefer working from home no more commute and traffic RE: WFH Home or Office? - Nonamarksw - 12-08-2023 Neither . Because I don’t like living my life according to others RE: WFH Home or Office? - starchytwink - 12-08-2023 I am a hybrid guy. I love the work from home to not be monitored and be able to do my own thing and focus, but I need to see the people i work with every week once or so. My son started having frontal lobe seizures in his sleep due to a genetic mutation, and I took 6mos off from travel/per diem work. I pretty much just keep an eye on him till he gets upe, and work a few hours in the am. I feel so bad for the kid...he worked so hard at school, was supposed to graduate early in a few wks, and this shit hit him out of the blue. He can't remember 1 day to the next, the meds do nothing for him, and I can't stand not being able to help him. But back to wfh/io.. I love traveling, and the per diem is sweet af, but I'm just thankful I have the means to work here at the house atm. RE: WFH Home or Office? - Trical1 - 12-10-2023 I agree with you OP, hybrid is the way to go, it just helps me realise that I'm working with others and not just in my own bubble RE: WFH Home or Office? - Kinglen - 12-10-2023 I definitely prefer working from home, it´s just more relaxed. That must be incredibly difficult. I can't offer any solutions but I hope for the best for you both! I suppose we're lucky to be living in the times we do where there's more infrastructure and tools for WFH, but also a mindset where businesses are more open to it. Some of the social/workplace stigma around WFH has changes a lot too, especially so since the pandemic. RE: WFH Home or Office? - johnpapi21 - 12-18-2023 In my experience there's no upside. If you personally enjoy getting out of the house to work then of course it's no worse than working at a coffee shop. You'll see scaremongers warning that nobody knows how to collaborate online, or warning that senior managers only make promotion decisions based on who they see in the hallway, not measurable performance. For me and everyone else I know, reality is entirely different RE: WFH Home or Office? - Viking3004 - 12-18-2023 Another vote for hybrid working, I tend to do more in the office. But that's just me. |
