That way it seems like you was social engineered into giving  the otp needed at delivery. Opinions?
It doesn't make any sense.

The OTP Is dedicated to your account and you're the only one who knows It, therefore providing It confirms receipt of goods.

The idea is that you provided it over the phone or via email without it actually being delivered. So your driver impersonates amazon and says the code is required for verification purposes as they suspect the transaction to be fraudulent or something. You then provide him the code and he enters it without delivering anything and marks the order delivered.

You'd be providing the OTP to the driver In person on delivery, and the package will be handed over thereafter.

If he doesn't have the package on hand, his Intention can clearly be Identified, thereby the password should not be given to him.

Of course if you are smart you wont give the otp over phone or email however the caller could claim to be from amazon and social engineer the “victim” into saying the otp is required beforehand for security purposes. Thats what you would be trying to portray. That the driver tricked you into giving otp beforehand since it was “needed”.

Yes, I understood the social engineering side of It right from the get-go.

But as you've said:
Quote: if you are smart you wont give the otp over phone or email

It's not something both you and I will fall for, however many others can be manipulated rather easily.

Of course you and i wont fall for it but we will make the impression we have. We will contact amazon claim dna and then once the rep says u provided an otp, you will claim you provided it over email to authorise your order. This creates the impression to amazon that you fell victim to the scam, therefore a refund will be processed? Opinions?

And how do you prove you've been scammed, specifically you didn't physically receive your order after providing the OTP?

How do amazon prove we did physically receive the order after providing otp? And maybe write an email to yourself from a fake amazon gmail and ss it. So for example your email on your amazon account is called mothered@Gmail.com then you create a fake amazon gmail called amazoon19@Gmail.com then write yourself a fake email saying you must reply with the otp code or else your order wont go through. Then reply to that email with the code and provide amazon with screenshots of it?

Photographic evidence, GPS/tracking coordinates as the package was travelling through the carrier's network from consignor to consignee.

You're overcomplicating It.

Since when does Amazon use Gmail as the sending address?
