Yes the weight is an obstacle. But it seems that several people succeeding in doing iPads and even Macbooks using the EB method on Apple. I'm considering trying one of them myself. I guess that Apple politics about EB is kinda lazy.

Not yet, I’m waiting for the delivery times to be shorter atm. Debtsting between and iPad and Apple Watch atm. Might do Apple Watch with apple direct snd an iPad on amazon as it’s easy there

I definitely think the risk they will check weight is higher with a MacBook than an iPhone though.
I see most people in here saying laptop not in Apple box but I was advised by many to say entire shipping box empty, so I believe both work just as well.

So first you call them about and then they ask you to send the picture on email and once they see the empty box picture , they refund immediately?
It wasn't immediate maybe 24hrs later
