He just said that it seems to work now so it should be sorted out now. Maybe he said that just to get rid of me. I chatted with 2 of them yesterday and they just keep saying that I need to send in a working affidavit file. Yes, I took a screenshot of it, it's in Swedish though. It went something like this: Me: why didn't they accept my previous affidavit Amazon: Most likely because they could open it. But now it should be alright. Me: OK good then I'll wait a few more days. Amazon: Contact us if you haven't received a reply by Friday. But you likely won't have to. That was Monday last week lol Today again I received this: Hello x! Thank you for sending the requested affidavit regarding the unreceived item(s) from your order. Unfortunately, it seems that we can not open your files. You can try taking a picture of the affidavit and send it as a jpeg. Please complete the full template below including your signature, and attach a photocopy to your reply to this e-mail. Once we receive your corrected and completed statement, my colleagues and I will be able process your request. Thank you in advance for your effort and understanding. =============================================================== AFFIDAVIT Name: ___________ Address: ___________ E-mail address: ___________ I hereby confirm that I have not received the item(s) associated with order number, which I purchased from Amazon.se on x The item(s) I did not receive is/are listed below: xxx I would like to receive a refund of the full purchase price of the abovementioned item(s), including applicable shipping costs, and gift wrapping. Regarding order xxx, we would really need a signed affidavit that we can actually open. We can't move forward without it. We would need to open the file, so that we can verify that everything is correct in the affidavit and then we can move forward with your case. I went through all previous contacts regarding this order. On May 31, x wrote in a chat that he could open the file, but unfortunately it was wrong. I apologize for the incorrect information. Now I don't know how you created the files you sent us, but I would ask you to scan/photograph the signed affidavit again. The file should be a PDF, JPEG, or PNG file. Perhaps it would be best to send the affidavit in all three formats in one message. As said In my previous post, the affidavit may only be required to move forward with your claim and nothing more, so It's your call whether or not to sign It. RE: Amazon affidavit - LawDogUSA - 06-08-2022 I'm bouncing around a bit, sorry, is this affidavit, from Amazon and what country are you in? You have a decision to make with the value of the items being 5k, I know someone who is going through the same situation currently. I'm going to reread everything because I want to give the best answer I can. The affidavit is from Amazon? And what Country are you in? G RE: Amazon affidavit - LawDogUSA - 06-08-2022 Ok, have a better understanding of what is going on, I'm trying to figure out why you wouldn't want to sign it, here's my thoughts and experience: - this is currently going on in two places, from the same company, both at or above the 5k - Amazon and them won't move forward until they get the affidavit - you would normally comply with them if this really happens to you - this is a company, it's not the government or authorities, it would remain a civil problem - they are tagging you every step of the way, and you can't get a non corrupt file through, have you or they discussed any other way to get them their paperwork? Besides email? - if they offer you other ways to get them their paperwork, and you aren't doing what they ask, they can ignore your claim and keep your hard earned money. - I understand the fear and not signing anything is usually the best bet. - what are they going to do, come after you for civil penalties, which would most likely translate to have to pay for the items, can't see it getting there though. - I would say that I would never abandoned a claim of that size and if this happened you should be furious if it were true correct? We can't have big business stealing your money, and then someone else's, etc. - so why not signe the affidavit, and send it in? You have signed your name before, put a different signature if you are worried, and if it came down to it, deny that you did or you did so under major duriess , oe couldnt understand , needed an attorney etc - is it easier to prove you didn't( not your normal signature) sign the form? Or would it be easier for the authorities to seize your device and prove it was you could send a normal uncorrupted file, if you opened that door and I can prove you could have sent a legitimate affidavit, there's your intent to deprive, and a crime has occured, the authorities don't have to be there watching just prove it, and now you did that what 10 times, each one a separate count, so now you have 10 counts(meaning 10 crimes, with each of those 10, you can tac on at least 5 more, so you have 50 counts of various crimes, and that's one SE, how many more can or will they find, and big companies will send a delegate to your court case, that is inticing enough for government ,to get criminal charges against yourself. A lot Of course if that happened, big market doesn't want negative press, picking on the little guy and hopefully you settle it civilly or get out of it. If a big delivery got stolen, you would cooperate and sign or do anything to get your stuff back, and there's no intent to do anything but what they have asked of you, you don't sign there are probably legal grounds for them to not repay you or resend. You aren't signing to a crime, it's not a confession, they don't know your signature, write it in anything but normal or sign it. - personally I would sign it, but I don't make a habit out of signing something when I don't know where it's going to and who is the human getting it, so it may be a little off. There's no need to ever panic, especially if you don't go beyond your means, and you stick to what minimal facts you know and stay with it. Longest one was 6 months I heard. And there's 2 others I think are similar, sound legit as hell, should have more on that in a few weeks, let me know if you want updates. I saw this post and see how it's a month old, I would not provide information if I thought it wouldn't help someone or have value, from the places I know and the rules and laws I'm familiar with. I see things sometimes and think the worst and I can't let the worst happen. Minimize it until it has no affect at all. Seems the OP can still have options, don't sign yourself a hole though. Only you know what's best for you, there's nothing wrong with aborting the goal, or keep with their story, say those positive emails that they got your signature on another device or something. I apologize for being long winded. But one more thing: Have you seen the movie "Colors"? It's an American movie about an old Cop and rookie Cop, dealing withe the gangs on the westside of America, old Cop says to the young Cop........ " There are 2 bulls, Old and young, standing on a hill looking down at all the cows below, young bull says let's run down and fuck one of them cows, Old bull says, no, let's walk down and fuck them all!". Patience, not greed Any questions post or PM, I will always help if I can, it's just my way, no matter what you do in this life. I will probably just sign it at this point, they aren't budging and the SE is too high in value to abort. Zalando made me sign something similar to an affidavit and provide a copy of my ID. I'm guessing that it would probably be best to not SE those companies again? I'm assuming that signing multiple affidavits with the same companies is a bad idea. RE: Amazon affidavit - LawDogUSA - 06-08-2022 I would remain as low key as possible, and I would always keep them on the list just not often and order in between to, keep your account active, never know when things come up and you have to SE. Don't give up, I would be pissed as can be if my package didnt show up for that value too! Did they ever offer another way to send the paperwork//affidavit in? Keep at them! G |
