Agreed.

I've actually been using It for quite a while when writing my articles, particularly when It's difficult to use a synonym that's suited to the context of the sentence In question.

@mothered Would The manufacturer know if the laptop is powered on, connected to wifi, etc? I have another route I want to try, something I did a while back but not sure if they can find this info out

Also is there a laptop manufacturer out there that is known to have a faster refund/claims process in a certain $ range? Curious

They cannot track or monitor the laptop remotely purely from establishing an Internet connection.

Every SE Is assessed on a case-by-case basis, and there's a lot of variables Involved which makes It very difficult to predict the duration of a given claim.

Obviously a high value laptop, will attract more attention to the point of a lengthy claims process. Not many companies write-off a few thousand dollars and Issue on the spot refunds.

I see, thank you, that makes sense. You mentioned in another post somewhere that companies can claim a certain dollar amount loss as a tax write off, right? Do you happen to know the the approximate limit for that or what a safe range would be?

I don't remember the post, but when the cost of freight when returning an Item (as well as the manpower spent on an Investigation) outweighs the cost of the Item, many companies would rather mark It as a write-off.

It mainly relates to low value Items, and not laptops to the likes of yours.

He's a great YouTuber. Love his videos, such a smart guy.
Not sure if you knew, but he actually got SE'd, his whole YouTube account was hacked a week or two ago. How ironic!

Hi @mothered, Do you still have any lenovo serial to spare. I am pretty new to SE'ing and have been doing alot of research... I want to use this as a way to toe test this pool.
