Unless It contains Information that you'd prefer not to disclose, It's best to post It here.

Sure no worries!

I replied to the final email with this (with a screenshot of the polices' reply):
Spoiler:
Quote:Hi,

Have just been in contact with the police and their response is attached below.

This is frustrating as the police have shown that they will not be helping any further, and on your end I am getting frustrated as I simply put an order through and now I've had to go through all of this hassle of filing a police report and contacting your support services numerous times. This is disappointing to me as it's showing me amazon's incapacity to manage my claim.

I demand that you move forward with processing this claim, as the initial consultant on live chat told me they were already processing a refund, which would have been sorted by now. As I am down £219.

Many Thanks
Awaiting your reply

However, they've just sent me this reply twice now and nothing since and its been a few days:

I never told them to package didn't come to the correct address so unsure why they mentioned that in the first paragraph.

UPDATE:
This is the latest, although the police said they wouldn't give me a ref number for this.

The first message Is typical of their automated replies, by generalizing and without taking the nature of the claim Into consideration.

In terms of the latest reply, they're well aware that under the circumstances, a police report/reference number cannot be Issued so their request Is totally Inappropriate.

Get a document from the police stating why they cannot fulfill your request and send It to Amazon. If they still believe that a police report can be filed, ask them to advise you of whom to contact to obtain the report.
I'd love to read how they'd respond to that.

RE: Unsuccessful for the first time - Roadman - 10-15-2020

This is where you need to make a report yourself. Amazon simply won't budge. I doubt a member on here has a template for one, so I would recommend editing the initial response you received from the police and turn it into a report.

Or, tell the police your item may have been stolen in transit. That's bound to get a report. It seems like you've made the police believe Amazon sent you nothing in the first place.

@lkunt, any progress with your SE?

Sorry haven't been active due to uni work. Refund successful after returning amazon's to Argos then receiving a refund from amazon.

They kept emailing the same response so I simply rang them and gave them a bit and they gave me a refund immediately.
Kinda stupid though, he got me to forward him the same email I had already sent amazon where the police states they wouldn't take it any further, and then the advisor said that it was sufficient evidence although both times I had sent it previously they said it wasn't sufficient.

It sounds like they've messed up your claim which Is a good thing, as It ultimately led to a successful SE.

Well done, congrats.

I've been lurking around here for a few weeks now and finally decided to make an account.

I've been refunding for years and have just been denied for the first time.

The item was a pair of apple AirPods Pro. I simply told them they weren't in the apple box but they have said they have proof they were in there and that I need to dispute this with the b4nk as they will not take any further action for this.

As that was on live chat, I am going to give them a call and try to sort it out as I'd rather keep the b4nk refund for a bigger item in the future;
can anyone give me any advice? Plan is to call them and go pretty wild whilst sticking to the same story.

Thanks

You said the airpods pro were not inside of the sealed retail box?
