Damn, I miss Win 7 too, I never understand these changes without helping the user....

Currently running Win7 Ultimate.

I know you posted that response a while ago but, GOOD MAN.

I miss windows 7 so bad. I use two laptops, one with 8.1 (which felt like a leap back of 10 years in terms of UI development - Ugliest and possibly the single most irritating UI I've had the misfortune to use). Win10 is on the other, which is a vast improvement on 8(.1) but I still feel like everything I liked about windows was made shittier and less useful for me.

And final complaint - Why did the flat box colour thing take off? I know a lot of people like it on here, and I'm just struggling to get it. Windows went from some gorgeous, smooth, transparent, glass-like stuff... to flat boxes.... which they had when they first started.... My aesthetic values have been offended.

Yes, that seems a little ridiculous.

Also, when resuming from hibernation, why have the screen similar to that of a BSOD In Windows 10? It's not a big deal, but I'd rather not be reminded of the dreaded BSOD.

Oh my, I hadn't even thought of that! And there's no way to change/customise it right?

To be honest, I haven't looked Into It.

As with changing the lock screen, I'd say there should be a native feature In Windows 10 to change the hibernate/resume background Image. If not, I believe I may have a third-party tool that has the option to do so. I haven't used the tool In ages, so I can't remember whether It does the job.

I'm pretty sure it's easy to change for win10 but win8(.1) is what it is. I welcome being proved wrong there though XD.

I will say though, the win10 lock screen that lets you say whether you like the images and provides snippets of info about what's in the image is quite nice. That's one feature I think is an improvement.

My install of Windows 10 had problems with SLI and certain UI elements would just disappear. That issue went away when I moved to a single 1080 though.

So far, it seems really stable to me. My box is mainly an old gaming rig with a GTX770 that Ive been using for password cracking, etc lately. Lots of tools are still Windows centric and the OS is also pretty stable.

Definitely agree.

In my views, Windows 10 Is a vast Improvement from Windows 8.1. Prior to It's release (Windows "8.1"), the majority of users were complaining about the Start Screen and wanted the return of the Start menu. Microsoft then Implemented the Start "button". This navigated to the Start Screen which defeated It's purpose completely. Microsoft failed big time In that sense.

On my PC running WIndows 10 32bit, applications randomly close themselves, I have 2GB RAM and never exhause it beyond 1.5GB but applications still close themselves randomly.

2gb is so little.
