You honestly failed to come up with a reply to your own ideology? My point was, people brag about a meaningless number, that doesn't necessarily mean that it has any work put behind it, or that it holds any value. What gives it value is the posts itself, the content you post. A high number is nothing but a high number, giving you no info on the posts. One should rather brag about good threads one has made, over a number that is next to worthless.

Okay after looking at other threads and posting ill fully be evolved now. People come on new forums and want to make a name for them selves they either provide great threads that give great advice, tutorials whatever it may be. The more you post the more active it shows (# of post count) with a higher post count it can show how dedicated someone is to the forum or the community. You can also argue that having a little number can mean you contribute this is as well true but the higher number you it shows how much time and ediucation you give to the forums. You can also 'shitpost' but looking at someones long posting reputation can show who they are as a person and show dedication for the community/ forum they may be apart of. The number can mean anything to the person thats why they want to show how much they post about it.

Honestly, just ignore him. He likes to create conflict for no reason. Congrats on 100 posts, keep it up mate.

The number means how many total posts the user has made, not the threads or content of the posts. If you don't agree with me, then you mean that an empty post has a much meaning as a filled one. A number is a number. Its the contents that matter, not the number. A post count can mean several things, two of which are either that the user have been completely useful and posted nothing but good posts. Or that the user is worthless and has posted nothing but bad threads. As the number alone cannot give a specific answer and can even been two polar opposites, it is traditionally ruled as "worthless" or "pointless" as it serves no point.

What is the point you are getting at though? If this user wants to create a thread about something they feel like is an achievement why can't they? I mean really why are you even arguing about this? Just because it's a number or not something you would create a thread about does not mean he can't make  one, Lay off and stop creating something that does not need to even be argued about please.

Forums were created to share views, ideas and share information. No, that was the original idea for the internet. Hence debating, conversations and so on is made to do that. This is a thread about a number, I was discussing different views on that number, so my posts were both on-topic and not to mention, part of a conversation that I did not start. Oh and for the record, I never stated that the couldn't, I said that it was no real point. In-fact, @Whako was the first to reply back to be directly.

And I replied back to that. Whenever or not you were interested in keeping this conversation going or not, don't throw it at me for replying back to you because you are trying to cover your own skin. You talk to me, I talk to you, you stop, I stop. Simple as that.
