RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - Hux_h@ck3r - 10-26-2011 Who knows, it might come in handy one day. RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - quantumchaology - 02-06-2013 that is why i carry my trusty m1911. RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - Justme35 - 02-16-2013 This is helpful as far as learning to knife fight goes, but what does it have to do with Human Manipulation? If anything, it should be part of a Human Manipulating Knives section lol RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - The Real Slim Shady - 02-16-2013 In my experience, if someone is coming at you, then running doesnt do much good. Unless you are faster. If you are not faster than you are simply decreasing your ability to defend yourself. Especially if there are multiple attackers. I am a fairly experienced street fighter. I can speak from experience on everything from attackers with weapons, me with weapons, both of us with weapons, to 4-5 on 1 (me). Ive come out a bit battered but ive never gone down or lost the fight really. RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - olimpuss09 - 03-12-2013 Good job!Never know what comes
RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - Saberuneko - 11-26-2013 Just a small tip. Even if you can kick high enough, never try to kick the hand holding the knife. Doing that, I got the knife stabbed into my leg. Luckily for me, due to the surprise, the attacker let it go, so it stayed inside my leg. The attacker ran away, leaving the knife (and me) behind. I still remember the moment clearly, even if it has been around 7~8 years ago... I hope the situation never repeats. RE: Beginner Knife Fighting - Saberuneko - 11-26-2013 Just a small tip. Even if you can kick high enough, never try to kick the hand holding the knife. Kicking a knife isnt about how high you kick, its about the angle at which you kick. If the blade is facing up like most attackers, especially inexperienced ones... then a fast upward kick towards the back of their wrist will not be very risky. the wrist is incapable of 360 degrees so they would need to rotate their entire arm in one specific direction. this is not easy to do quickly with accuracy. And even if the blade made contact, it would be a slice, not a stab. Besides, even if you do fuck up and get a knife in the foot or lower leg... its still probably better than in the chest.
