Israel was given independence in 1948. Considering there's been almost 4 generations of killing, there's a factual basis for that statement. A ceasefire isn't going to solve the conflict, only postpone it.
Both sides are violent and dishonest. Let them soak the soil with blood and tears, until peace becomes the only feasible option.
