RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-12-2022 So here are my questions @mothered: 1) I am attaching the link to the PDF of repair instructions. In this pdf they say to wrap the pc in the bag and the bubble wrap they'll provide. So when boxing them should I still insert the bag and bubble wrap in it or just discard them? https://i.dell.com/sites/csdocuments/Pub...cklist.pdf 2) OFC I am using a drop and fantasy name but should I actually fill in the form and insert it in the box as well as per their instructions? Or can I discard it as well just like the bubble wrap etc? 3)The local dry ice store sells both pellets and blocks. Minimum purchase 10lbs. Should I get the block or pellets? If 10lbs is for 1 entire block, I think is a good option that gives me enough time to prep the box, check weight and drop it off at the courier store, am I correct? 4)In the instructions to follow they say: "Only include the power adapter or cord for power issues or if damaged. Place in bubble bag provided. ". I think I will opt for power issues, like the PC doesn't turn on at all. Should I add the weight of charger as well when boxing? To reply to your previous question on whether the shipping will be local or not. Yes it should be local as reading online it should be shipped to a nearby dell repair center(in state or to a close state). Will confirm when ready and requesting the label/box. RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-12-2022 Btw let me know if this point form is good, or if you meant in a different way I'll edit it. Thanks @mothered RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-14-2022 @mothered I am sorry for asking again but any news? I'd really love to start this SE asap, thanks. RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-15-2022 @mothered Any chance I can receive help from you on this SE with boxing method? Thanks a lot. RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-16-2022 Need to know if I should include the "paperwork" they require in the box or is not needed and also the bubble wrap they'll provide. And should I use dry ice block or pellet. Considering laptop+charger weight would be 2.32KG. Do you think 2.5 KG of dry ice would be good?. @mothered RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-19-2022 @mothered any updates about my previous post? Thanks RE: Dell XPS - mammta21 - 12-20-2022 daily bump, any news? @mothered RE: Dell XPS - mothered - 12-20-2022 (12-16-2022, 02:25 AM)mammta21 Wrote: Need to know if I should include the "paperwork" they require in the box or is not needed and also the bubble wrap they'll provide.Do exactly as Instructed. If there's no mention of It, then return It as you see fit. (12-16-2022, 02:25 AM)mammta21 Wrote: And should I use dry ice block or pellet.Either of the two will suffice. Should receive it soon, will update when received it and when will be shipped for "repair". Like I previously said it will most probably be a nearby repair center. Any special advice or formula to follow for the sublimation calculation? thanks @mothered |
