It doesn't often happen, and there'd need to be substantial evidence In support of the seller for a reversal.

Makes sense. I'm going with the DNA method I hope £2k is not too risky.

If the mail man takes a photo of the parcel at the door that's my DNA attempt scrapped right? I would have to go for SNAD method after, right?

Given the cost of the Item, expect an Investigation to be opened.

It's part of company protocol, so just comply with their requests.

No.

Carriers usually take photos of the entryway, so rearrange It prior to delivery and place everything back when the driver leaves. As such, It gives the Impression that It's not your home.

What do you mean by rearrange it prior to delivery and place everything back when the driver leaves?

Also I spoke to SEUK earlier and he told me DNA won't work with PayPal. He is recommending that I stick to the SNAD method.

I order the item, it arrives, I open up a claim on PayPal under SNAD, and I tell them what exactly? Any examples would be appreciated because I am clueless with SNAD.

And what do you think about that mate?

RE: CURRY'S/JOHN LEWIS PAYPAL REFUND - SE.UK - 08-01-2020

Sorry RedLife, my discord isn't working at the moment.

1. DNA will not work, delivery is with DPD for Currys for high value items - so they will investigate, show up and use GPS - a most likely scenario is that if you go straight for a PayPal case then you run the risk that Currys reply with tracking info and PayPal will close the case in sellers favour.

2. SNAD is definitely the best option in my opinion. If you've got an old laptop that you know longer want, just take a picture of that saying that everything was sealed etc and found this inside instead. Send them a few pics to backup your case, in my case with them I used the same method and they didn't reply to me.

If the driver will take photos of the "entryway", rearrange whatever you have there- rugs, chairs, paintings etc before he arrives.

When he leaves, place everything back as per normal. This gives the Impression that It's not your home In the photos.

INR does work with PayPal- I've personally experienced It. That's referring to my country.

Alternatively, hit Curry's with the DNA.

You first file a "dispute" and that will get escalated to a claim.

They didn't reply to you as in you got your refund?

I don't have a spare laptop laying around is there another reason you got in mind mate?

Thanks mate. What would you say to PayPal for the SNAD mate regarding the laptop?

This Is the least of your concerns.

Due to the Item's value and the fact that SNAD will be used, It must be returned for the refund to be processed.
How do you plan to handle this?

I hear you.. I was thinking perhaps something like the laptop's battery leaked or something of that sort? And I disposed of it due to the health and safety hazard & chemicals.
I have done DNA's with the couriers before and SEUK is saying that isn't ideal..

This does have a good chance of success, but do expect a lengthy process with questions raised back and forth.
