I wouldn't say that it is patched, has gotten much harder though.

I'm at a loss as to why companies do not request the return of Items when Issuing a replacement.

I understand they simply add It to their list of write-offs, but doing so allows further warranty/refund/replacement exploitation.
The main thing Is, your SE worked.

Hi. So I forgot to ask you this but  do you know what UPS will do if they realize there is no "Mr. X/ Mrs. X" at the address "X St. 21"? Will they send me an email or text message about it?
I *think* the house I used as delivery address has people in it lol. It's currently for sale, though, so I'm not sure. Hopefully it's empty.

Cheers.

If you've used a drop house that's occupied at the time of delivery, It'll certainly be questioned.

Given It's (obviously) not relevant to you, the discrepancy will be questioned. As to what actions they'll take, remains to be seen.

There's no car at the house so hopefully no one will be home.

Anyway, I got a couple of follow up questions.
Will UPS or DHL or whatever drop the package off by the door, or do they need me to sign something?
IF they need me to sign something, do you think I need to show my ID as well? I, obviously, did not use my real name. The name I used is very, very similar to my real name, though, so if I need to sign something maybe I can blame UPS?

I'm pretty sure they need me to sign some papers but hopefully not..
And oh, I won't even be home when they deliver it so that'll be interesting to see what happens.....

Anyway, cheers.

EDIT: I'll be home one day AFTER the estimated delivery date so hopefully they don't send the package to a gas station for me to pick up. That would suck ass.

EDIT2: according to a text message I got, the item will be arriving earlier than expected so I think I'll be home.

Update.
Got the item today.

I got a phone call from the people who live on the address the item was sent to. Fortunately, the person that called me wasn't tech savvy so I told them I used the "use my location" feature when I chose the shipping address. I also gave them the a short version of the story I gave Logitech support.

They asked me what we should do about it but I told them I'd go to their house (I know. not smart but YOLO or whatever the kids say) and get the item. He asked me if it was some kind of scamming I was doing and I was like "yeah how'd you know" jk. But he asked that. Obiously I said no. lol.
When I was on their porch I saw two people sitting at a table and I legit thought it was the police lol. The guy that opened the door seriously looked like he was from UPS and it made me a little bit scared to be honest. He said "come in" and when he said that I was close to shitting bricks and thought "well I'm fucked". Fortunately I'm not fucked. Yet. When I was asked how this could happen I simply blamed technology.

I'm glad I'm good at lying and that my poker face is good. Thank you, years-of-bottling-up-and-hiding-my-feelings.

Anyway, thank you for you help! I really appreciate it. I'm going to encrypt my SSD now.

RE: Is Logitech patched? - Vultra - 06-22-2018

The successful outcome was a combination of the vulnerability In the human firewall, and your SEing skills. In this case, one could not work without the other- both were required to get the result.

What tool/software are you using to encrypt?

Did google research and VeraCrypt looks to be useful.

I've been using It for quite a few years.

I have two forms of encryption on all drives. The first Is encrypted with BitLocker, and In that drive I've created an encrypted volume via VeraCrypt using the AES-Twofish-Serpent cipher. Essentially, two forms of authentication Is required to access my data.
