RE: PM restrictions - Ecks - 01-09-2018 My major issue isn't PM so much as random ass people with no posts constantly adding me to their friends list, every so often I do get asked simple stuff but I just reply for them to google it. This month so far
RE: PM restrictions - Hoss - 01-09-2018 Maybe implement a spam filter that can be customized on a per-user basis? You could set variables such as: Does the message match a regex. how many posts does the user have, how much rep does the user have, etc.? idk, just thinking RE: PM restrictions - Bish0pQ - 01-10-2018 (01-09-2018, 11:06 PM)Hoss Wrote: Maybe implement a spam filter that can be customized on a per-user basis? It's not so much about users who send PMs that are against the rules, but rather getting a large volume of simply unwanted messages from users, where the common factor across a critical mass of the unwanted messages is usually post count RE: PM restrictions - mothered - 01-11-2018 (01-10-2018, 04:09 PM)phyrrus9 Wrote:(01-10-2018, 03:29 AM)mothered Wrote:(01-09-2018, 06:11 PM)Synthx Wrote: I think he means people come here just to PM members advertising other forums.. Of course, I understand your viewpoint and the purpose of this thread. My post was (In reply) referring to non-compliance with forum rules by advertising competitive forums, and the simple step of using the Report feature. |
