Or rather, his dreams are as broken as his leg. :3

I'm amazed at how he's able to walk the very next stay after suffering a broken leg.

I realize It's with the aid of equipment, but just the fact that he's mobile on his feet, Is a remarkable recovery In It's early stages. I think both the psychological and physical effects, will play a major role In his future as a competitor.

Do you reckon he'll try again in 4 years?

I like your choice of wording being "reckon". That's very popular In my locality.

On topic, I've read a little bit about him since his accident and he doesn't sound like a quitter. If he gets his mentality In the right perspective and can apply himself physically to avoid any Injuries of the same kind, then I believe he may well be competing.

That's pretty good, sucks to be destroyed after getting that far

As for reckon, I like to borrow from different dialects of English a lot, you'll notice how my posts sometimes vary from British/American spelling, etc.

The main thing Is, his Injury Isn't career-threatening (well, not from what I've read) and If his mind and body Is ready, then so be It.

I've actually noticed here and there your variations of spelling and choice of words. Given we Interact with different cultures on this board, we tend to pick up words and phrases that we normally wouldn't use In our everyday conversations.

It keeps things interesting in my posts, at least to me, when I write them.

O.O glass half empty?

More like the fact that after he hears that "joke" so many times, it'll become almost hurtful to him. :/

Of course it will. But I'd rather not think about all the negativity. I'd rather break my leg in the Olympics than grow up in the favelas right next to the Olympics. Happiness is life is merely a state of mind in many cases.
