I felt that I'd concentrate on my work more whilst listening to music than I would without music. However, students shouldn't be allowed to use them in listening apart from music. At break/lunch times, people can use them to revise and what not. However, maybe there would be more stealing from people's bags. I'm just the same with music as it shown when I have ict I don't get distracted etc and just do what I need to RE: Should cellphones be allowed in/on school grounds? - Zodiac - 01-17-2016 (01-17-2016, 12:31 PM)Azzid Wrote:(01-17-2016, 11:25 AM)Nath Wrote: I think they should be allowed. Pretty sure I've carried out an investigation before in Science about how music affects your focus and it did make my reaction time faster. RE: Should cellphones be allowed in/on school grounds? - Choopie - 01-17-2016 I think they should. and if a teacher tries to take it from you just say this line "Do you pay my phone bill? did you buy my phone? do you not have your own? This is my property and you can't take it from me since it's not yours" and see what happens :hurr: :hurr: :hurr: RE: Should cellphones be allowed in/on school grounds? - Tariq - 01-17-2016 i does not support it . If you're using it in class or whatever then maybe it should be taken away from you and you should just accept it? Its not their property so they have no right taking it RE: Should cellphones be allowed in/on school grounds? - Finessed - 01-20-2016 I think phones should be allowed at school because if something happens like if they miss the bus or something they can contact home in case on an emergency. RE: Should cellphones be allowed in/on school grounds? - Cranky_mybb_import6721 - 01-20-2016 Yes because in the case of emergency, no one wants to call the school phones and be tied up in the lines for 15 minutes. RE: Should cellphones be allowed in/on school grounds? - cisla_mybb_import7415 - 01-23-2016 Yes, of course, but not in classrooms for sure. Be autistic. Also they shouldn't forcefully take your phone off of you. They should say "Give me your phone", that's one form of punishment or resolution to you being a brat in their lessons. If you refuse to go with the easier (Nicer option), then you'll likely be told to go and see another member of staff or get a detention or something depending on how your school does things. They're not forcefully taking it, like you say they have no right. But as a an alternative to making the situation worse they will just ask for your phone so you stop going on it whilst they're trying to teach. |
