I don't know, I'd say that people would find time spent on a forums with friends isn't wasted :tongue:

Could have been better spent, not to mention that post count doesn't say anything about your type of activity. (It is a blank number, with no value to it.)

To me it holds a value and this forum never wastes my time i enjoy every second no matter what.

That comment doesn't even regard post numbers, none of yours do. You value the forum, the member and the threads. You do however, not value the post numbers. (As it is nothing to value, and hence there is nothing to brag about.)

My point was, people brag about a meaningless number, that doesn't necessarily mean that it has any work put behind it, or that it holds any value. What gives it value is the posts itself, the content you post. A high number is nothing but a high number, giving you no info on the posts. One should rather brag about good threads one has made, over a number that is next to worthless.

Okay after looking at other threads and posting ill fully be evolved now. People come on new forums and want to make a name for them selves they either provide great threads that give great advice, tutorials whatever it may be. The more you post the more active it shows (# of post count) with a higher post count it can show how dedicated someone is to the forum or the community. You can also argue that having a little number can mean you contribute this is as well true but the higher number you it shows how much time and ediucation you give to the forums. You can also 'shitpost' but looking at someones long posting reputation can show who they are as a person and show dedication for the community/ forum they may be apart of. The number can mean anything to the person thats why they want to show how much they post about it.
