I've only ever seen Coffee script being used in projects on Github. Never seen or heard about someone being hired for it.

The text editor made by Github's community was developed in Coffee script I'm pretty sure.
EDIT: I totally agree though, I never found the use for it besides it being a rip off of JS.

I was unaware of this, thank you for educating me and correcting me (Both of you). I suppose it was kind of a bold or ignorant statement to make in the first place. It was actually just a rumour I heard somewhere, that coffeescript was pretty useless. Hence why I assumed this to be true. I'll be sure to look up the facts next time.
