Like it was said, I have a few friends that know a lot about soccer. I mostly hung out with soccer players in high school, so I'll take their word for it. I'm going with Messi.

Yeah I'll agree with you there, he was amazing in his day. I remember using him on my PS2 when Fifa Street first came out he was the best player.

I watched ronaldo playing many times, and honestly he is already used to be defended by more than 2 or 3 guys at all time, everyone has an eye on him all the time.
Plus, he is in the lions den, he is in a country where everyone automaticly hates him, because he is portuguese. Yet he engulfs his pride all the time, in the news you don't hear ronaldo, ever. You hear messi, even when he performs way better than messi.
There are many things I could say here that could prove my point, but I think this is enough. Whenever someone says messi they don't really look at how ronaldo plays, and how everyone palys against him.

I don't really think messi is the best, neither are most of the barça team, since there are many videos proving that they fake so many fouls that changed games..
I cannot deny that they have skills, yet ronaldo is always underrated against them, when he has done as much or even more than messi or iniesta..
Plus they don't even play in the same positions, Messi is always the last man before the goal, ronaldo not.
