I simply wouldn't consider somebody who bashes other people's religions a true atheist. I'd consider them to be somebody who simply hasn't educated them self on the topic enough.

You can't expect us to understand your position when you're using a self-defined term.
But if you're trying to differentiate a true atheist from an atheist by claiming that a regular atheist isn't actually an atheist, I will disagree. The term atheist doesn't go further than someone who lacks beliefs in deities. You can't start attaching attributes and behaviors to the meaning and then claim that is the "true" meaning of the word.
I totally agree. I feel like a fair amount of stereotyping is being used as a definition for a given term. I think we need to step back and re-assess the terminology that is being used. Otherwise an accurate, intellectual discussion can't take place.

OT: I dislike a majority of religion as most have some sort of clause or are interpreted as such by a majority of their members that members of that particular faith are somehow inherently superior than others based on your following of [insert magical entity here]

Yup. Killing is wrong, regardless of what religion you associate with.
