I had written down that I wanted to check this out but never actually got around to it. Been reading Manga a lot recently so Anime has been shoved to the side.

I'm usually not up to date so don't worry, you won't be alone there! xD

I recommend adding this to your list for when you come back to Anime. It's not too heavy but I've found it rather addictive which is a good sign to me.

Some guy in a Counter Strike match explained the premise of Tokyo Ghoul so I think that I'll probably watch that first.

People hype this Anime up so much that it's hard for me to watch it. But once the hype dies down a bit I'll watch it for sure.

That was like me with Sword Art Online.

Not that I dislike it at all for this, but as I've been watching I have noticed that it's overwhelmingly similar to SAO.

Spoiler: Some Spoilers
Just a few similarities worth mentioning:
  • Both are fantasy. Swords and stuff.
  • Multiple floor dungeon. Similar to Aincrad.
  • Overpowered main character. Like Kirito, Bell has a special ability (exponential growth in skill).
  • Some harem aspects. All the female characters have a thing for Bell. Sound familiar?

I caught up on the manga last week and I'm currently waiting for more chapters to come out. I'm kinda pumped for it to be honest.

I'm not sure what to say...

Haven't read the manga. Is it worth reading over the anime?

There is similiarity but i enjoy bell more then kirito. He is far more likeable then kirito.

I don't see how either character could be unlikeable. Both are pretty selfless and friendly.
